EDIT: For those who can't help themselves, NO, she isn't opening a portal in a black panel. Users of Maya software will already know that the Maya default viewport lightens and darkens surfaces based on the severity of their angle to the camera. The floor is white, but because of the angle Maya darkens it until it looks like the black floor panels. It's the same reason that the orange "portal" looks pretty much brown here. So rest easy, we haven't gone to this much trouble prepping for the film without ever having played the game ourselves!
This month will see the crew receive their first real animation assignments, and if all goes well we'll have a teaser trailer to show before too much longer!
